So You Wanna Make a Movie? with Craig Packard

If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a filmmaker meet Craig Packard.   Craig is a writer, director, and producer known for The Cost of Things, Frank Hardon: Life Coach, and Bobby Ellis Is Gonna Kick Your Ass.  We explore the process of making a film and why Craig is so passionate about his craft.  Craig talks about what it takes to get something from an idea to a finished film.  As Craig says filmmaking is “...damn near impossible, but it's not quite impossible.” We talk about directing, how every film is a masterclass in collaboration, and building the confidence to take the next steps.

His current project is “This Bloody Country,” an indie film in pre-production based on an original screenplay which he wrote and is real cinema using the most American of styles: the Western. All of you indie filmmakers out there: there are great nuggets of insight here! If you want to learn more or get involved reach out to Craig directly at craigpackard@gmail.com
